Our Services

We have a wide selection of quick-turn solutions for high-voltage switches and high-stability power supplies. We also offer personalized design service to meet your needs. Please contact us to begin a discussion of how we can meet your scientific electronics needs.

High-voltage switches

Our primary product is high-voltage switches. These began as a project in graduate school, in the early 2000’s, to allow rapidly pulse an ion beam deflector. In the years since, it has become something of a passion. We now have highly functional designs capable of switching up to 20 kV. We offer features such as slew rate adjustment and a sync return signal aligned within 5 ns of the start of the transition — to account for electronic delays in critical applications such as time-of-flight spectroscopy. Whatever your particular needs, if we do not have an existing design we are happy to work with you to craft exactly what you require.

High-stability power supplies.

In recent years, we have expanded our area of expertise to include high-stability power supplies. We have existing solutions for multi-channel, four-quadrant power supplies up to ±2 kV. Typical long-term stability is better than 5 ppm/day with temperature stability of ~1 ppm/K. We are hoping to soon extend these to ±5 kV with similar performance. The primary target use case at present is mutli-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

We can also offer ready-made solutions for lower-voltage systems, including programmable high-current supplies capable of floating on high-voltage for use with e.g. thermal ion sources.

Floating current monitors

We have experience in the design and implementation of ion current monitors for use with detectors floating on up ±10 kV. We have demonstrated designs sensitive to less than 100 pA and able to operate at up to 100 ksps.

Whatever you need

If you have a specialty need that cannot be met be readily available commercial solutions, we can probably help. Contact us with an explanation of your needs and we will respond within a few business days, typically.
